Boehringer Ingelheim has emerged as a leader in this disease area, having launched several treatments in a range of respiratory conditions including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), SSc ILD and PF ILD. COPD is a serious, progressive lung disease that limits airflow in the lungs. COPD is preventable and treatable but not curable and by 2033 it is predicted to be the third leading cause of death worldwide.¹ An important goal in the management of COPD is increaseing a patient's ability to live their life to the extent they love to and keep active for longer.
